About

Hi. I'm Molly Green.

I mostly post about videos, music, and the fantastic and catastrophic things that happen to me.

I make videos, too. You can see them here.

Mr. David Blue Garcia, you have out done yourself yet again, looks great. Blake, looking good, you always seem to find love in videos made by Dave.

Give these guys some comments and help them win. Takes no effort to register at Nikon. Worst case scenario they email you a coupon for a D70.

These guys are the coolest.  Please help them win an Internet contest, even though this video is awesome and they’ve already won the real prize, which is my HEART.

Vote here.

A coworker just asked me to get our systems prepped for a new show called Conveyor Belt of Love.  Amazing.

Tune in January 4th.

I want to shake the hand of the person who greenlit this show.

But it would be a really tight handshake that lasts way too long.  And I would maintain unblinking eye contact the entire time but never say a word.  And they’d walk away from the encounter feeling mildly uncomfortable.

Godspeed, Andy.

Animal Collective - Banshee Beat (fan video)

I love alternative video methods… I dig how Eugene Cheung used Google Street View images to create this stop-motion video set to song. Rad.

(via Mashable)

Very clever.

I’ve shot similar things from scratch, so I was tempted to be bitter and call this guy lazy at first.  Then I realized that this must have taken way longer to make and it’s kind of brilliant.

So, Eugene Cheung, even though you are probably the kind of guy who video chats with your next-door neighbor, I respect you.

This Is Hilarious, You Should Watch It of the Day: Depressed woman touching a wall? We got that B-roll!

[via.]

I actually interned at the real-life version of this company one summer while I was in high school.  They mostly sold gambling b-roll to casinos.  They inexplicably called me “Scout.”  I don’t think anyone there even knew my real name.  I spent 8 hours a day cataloguing decaying Betacam tapes and DATs.  There was a Patrick Nagel print on every wall.

On my last day, I animated the official company website portrait of my boss to have a man in a green unitard giving him a lap dance.  I set it to play on an infinite loop.  Then, I left it on the screen and went home.

Sometimes you just have to burn a bridge.

I just signed....

jennyowenyoungs:

missgreen:

a document that legally binds me to not blog about the situation that made me sign the document. I’ve said too much.

by the way I think Molly Green’s little sister is fucking hilarious.

When my sister meets my friends, she describes herself as “like Molly, but more fun.”  This is 100% accurate.

Example:

Once, when she was 16, I had to drive her home early from our great-aunt’s annual Christmas buffet because she’d secretly made herself several screwdrivers in the back.  When she was sufficiently toasted, she convinced our almost-senile Great-Uncle Bobby to loudly sing New Orleans jazz standards with her in the middle of this elegant, elderly-oriented affair.  My mother was, as usual, absolutely horrified, and cut her off in the middle of a song to inform her that she was GOING HOME.

See?  More fun.  I know that your vegetable garden needs tending and that your cat may or may not have rabies, but I wish you used the Internet more than once a month, Margee.
